Introduction

Even wonder what gems can be found in the depths of the Cal Maritime University Archives? In "Hidden Histories: Untold Stories from the Archives" we share some of the unique and intriguing tales found within the documents, photographs, and artifacts held in the Cal Maritime Campus History Center. 

Cal Maritime has had a long history in the San Francisco Bay Area and has  witnessed some interesting moments in history. Explore the goodwill of the actions of the Milk Cruise crew, the loss of a cadet at sea to a contagious illness, and the courage of the cadets of the class of 1964 on stop to Buenaventura, Columbia.
