We wish to offer our profound gratitude to the cadets of the T.S. Golden Bear, who were traveling on the passenger train that was in an accident on the 23rd of February 1962, for the humanitarian assistance they gave the victims of that tragedy, thereby avoiding the deaths of many of the injured.
Such as noble gesture of human kindness will be recorded forever in the hearts and minds of the townspeople of Buenaventura and they will forever remember their brothers of the T.S. Golden Bear
